DAVIS GIKUNDI
Davis joined Armour Architecture after earning his Master of Architectural Design and Urbanism (MADU) from The University of Notre Dame, where he refined his talent in classical and vernacular traditions and spent a semester in Rome immersed in rigorous studio work, hand-sketching, and historical analysis. Originally from Kenya, he began his career assisting with design and documentation of high-profile projects for clients such as the Office of the President of Kenya in Nairobi. While earning his Bachelor of Architecture with top honors from the University of Nairobi, Davis became fascinated with the energy and complexity of urban areas and passionate about architecture’s power to connect people, history and place. His research was exhibited at the recent Nairobi Biennale, and he has received numerous awards. Outside of work, Davis is a fitness enthusiast, enjoys reading and sketching, and is always eager to explore new places.
