Kentfield Spanish Colonial
Marin County, California
Perched on a prime hilltop in Kentfield’s Del Mesa neighborhood, this 1938 Spanish Colonial had undergone stylistically inconsistent and dated renovations, leaving the main living spaces disjointed and lacking flow. Our clients wanted to restore its historic charm while creating a more open, light-filled home for entertaining and everyday living alongside sweeping views of Mt. Tamalpais.
We added dramatic archways that open the family room to the new kitchen and wet bar, complemented with carved beams, Calacatta stone, a striking La Cornue range niche, and Saltillo and Moroccan tile. The reimagined primary suite offers greater privacy, with a spacious new bath centered on a brass soaking tub overlooking the canyon.
